my daughter and her fiancé, and my husband and I, to Santorini for
their wedding on 29th July 2006.
The arrangements were
made, mainly via e-mail, with Maria and her team at Kivotos Travel
in Fira.
I cannot thank them
enough for their help, support and attention to detail which
resulted in the most perfect wedding day I could have wished for my
daughter.
Nothing was too much
trouble and because all the arrangements were taken care of, it
meant we all remained completely stress free and were able to enjoy
every minute of the day and the week leading up to it!
We would not hesitate
to recommend Maria, Sofia and Margarita to be entrusted with your
wedding arrangements! Quite honestly, I couldn't have done it better
myself! |

I have recently
married in Santorini and I can truly say that it was the most
amazing day of my life. When we decided to get married my
husband wanted the wedding to take place on a boat and after
searching the internet I came across Santorini and an 18th
Century Sailing boat (perfect).
The website i went
on was www.santorini-info.net. Several e-mails later Maria
Renieri (my wedding planner) with Kivotos Travel in Santorini,
started the ball rolling in arranging our wedding. I must admit
I was worried planning my whole wedding via e-mail but Maria
answered any worries and questions I had, she booked everything
for us, the boat, the hotels, cake, flowers, photographer,
hairdresser everything. Even if there is something different or
unusual that you want Maria would find a way to sort it out for
you nothing at all is any trouble for her.
When we arrived in
Santorini, we were met by Rosa who also works at Kivotos Travel
and taken to our hotel, my son and his girlfriend were already
in Santorini and also wanted to meet us at airport with
champagne and flowers, Maria organized that for them it was
absolutely lovely.
On the day of the
wedding all guests were picked up and taken to the port I
arrived a bit after with my daughter. The ceremony on board the
boat was beautiful, once the mayor had disembarked we all set
sail on a sunset cruise and had the most amazing meal on board
(my compliments definitely go to the boats chef). Sofia (also
from Kivotos Travel) was there to ensure our day ran smoothly,
she was great. (They even ensured we were back in port and
driven to a nice pub in Thira for the England v Sweden game) now
you can't get better than that!!!
The whole day was
the best day we have had in our lives and I would strongly
recommend using Maria to plan any wedding in Santorini she is a
truly wonderful person who can make anyone's day special and
unique and we will be eternally thankful to her.

been back in South Carolina for less than a week but already we

most wonderful wedding ever. We are back in Lebanon and keep
wishing we were still in Santorini. Everything was absolutely
perfect. It was surreal, absolutely out of this world. We keep
looking at the pictures and the video over and over again, and
we still cant believe how amazing it was. Really, Maria, you
made our trip heavenly. Going to a place, not knowing what was
waiting for us, we were really nervous; but looking back at

pictures and without much time. We have had numerous compliments on
them.

with which you exceeded our expectations. It felt like we had known
you forever. The donkeys and their driver, the magistrate, the
setting and the restaurant where all great. Our hotel was
fabulous. Many of our friends have visited it on the web and are

We are back home and back to work and off on an excursion to the

wanted to thank you for all your help in putting together a
perfect wedding for
Debra and I on Santorini. We were a bit nervous, coming out and not
knowing exactly who we were meeting, and we were not sure that you’d
be able to help with our last-minute requests for a hotel room to
change in and a video tape of the wedding. We were very pleasantly
surprised by how well everything went. From the moment your
assistant met us at the tender dock until we returned several hours
later, everything was perfect. The church and the view from the
balcony were amazing. The ceremony was wonderful. The photographer
and videographer both did outstanding jobs (and getting a CD-ROM
with the pictures on it was an unexpected bonus); our friends and
family have raved over the pictures we’ve sent to them. The
restaurant where you arranged for us to have dinner, Pygros Tavern,
was perfect! The food and service far surpassed anything else we had
on the trip (especially that wedding cake). The tour you arranged
for us in Athens was ideal. We don’t know how you managed to set up
such a great tour on such short notice – and for the exact hours we
requested! It was a treat to be able to sleep in and see Athens on
our own schedule.We’ve also appreciated all your help since then,
from ensuring that the translated documents made it to us to
securing the recipe for our wedding cake, you continued with your
outstanding level of service. Thank you, Maria, for helping with our

Dear Maria, |
We would like to thank
you again for the excellent organization of our daughters wedding on
the 18th July and for all the arrangements that you made on our
behalf, particularly the accommodation bookings and transfers.
In spite of the problem with her dress, Kathryn and Kevin were able
to enjoy their day in that beautiful setting and the photos were a
good indication of how relaxed and happy they were.
I would like to compliment you on your attention to ensuring that
all arrangements were as they wished them to be and also for the
people who work with you. Everyone we met was so helpful and
friendly that it made the wedding a very relaxed and happy day and
has left us with very warm memories of our time in Santorini.
We would like to send a special thanks to the taxi driver who took
us to Kamari when we arrived and also took us to the airport when we
were leaving. On that occasion, we left a bag in the taxi and he
made a special trip to the airport to return it, which we really
appreciated as it had all our films of our holiday in it!
We would also like to say that we found the Anastasis apartments to
be excellent. After a very busy holiday, we enjoyed the quiet
situation, the beautiful setting, the lovely pool and the very
attractive and comfortable room. While it might be too
isolated for some people, we enjoyed the coastal walk into Fira and
found that the bus service was very regular and reliable and would
recommend them, particularly as they were so convenient to where the
ceremony was held.

Sorry it has taken
us so long to send you our thanks, however we have been so busy
moving into our house and having receptions in both Canada and the
U.S. that we haven't had much time for anything else. Rob and I
would like to tell you how grateful we are for all of your help
and for such a lovely wedding! It was really a dream come true,
and everyone is jealous of our beautiful pictures. We had a
wonderful time on the rest of our trip, and will always have great
memories of our honeymoon.
Rob and I would like
to thank you as well for the lovely gifts that you gave to
us! Everything is such a wonderful reminder of our trip and the
time we spent with you there. We have been searching Toronto for
galaktobouriko that matches the one we had in Athens, and we just
can't find one that measures up. I think the book that you gave
us has a recipe in it for the pastry, so hopefully I can convince
Rob to make it.
